Peer support and community advocacy

For Survivors of domestic violence and assault

How we can help

During this vulnerable period in life, the fear of re-traumatization and the lack of proper support can be overwhelming when seeking justice.

Rebuild by Women is a transformative non-profit initiative dedicated to standing by women during this critical time. We empower you with the knowledge of your rights and provide the guidance needed to navigate the complexities of the legal system, ensuring you're not alone in this journey.

Volunteer befrienders

Our volunteer befrienders are trauma-informed and committed to creating a safe, non-judgmental space where you can feel heard and supported.

You have the option to connect with them for their accompaniment before filing reports or during court hearings, if permitted by the court’s discretion.

They can provide candid, compassionate guidance on the process of obtaining a protection order, helping you understand what to expect every step of the way.

Educational Resources

We can provide you with supporting textbooks and resources to help you navigate the complexities of bureaucracy on your own, empowering you with the knowledge and confidence to take control of the process.

The Rebuild By Women Mission

Peer support and community advocacy are at the heart of everything we do. We provide a safe and empowering space for survivors of domestic violence and assault to rebuild their lives.

Awareness

Our organization is dedicated to creating a supportive environment where survivors can find the resources and community they need to heal and thrive. We believe in the power of every individual's story and are committed to amplifying their voices.

Many women escaping situations of coercive control often face a profound sense of isolation, creating a gap between them and their family or friends. We are dedicated to building a supportive, casual community where women can connect, bond over shared activities, and find strength in each other as they rebuild and move forward with their lives.

Please note that the volunteers are not lawyers and cannot give legal advice. They cannot draft any materials for submission to authority on your behalf. They will help to the best of their abilities in accordance to the relevant ethical guidelines and/or rules. The organisation does not fulfil any duties of an advocate or solicitor. We disclaim any liability for the outcome of any proceedings, legal or otherwise that may arise.
